Certification is awarded to qualified applicants by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. Requirements for Registration and
Certification are as follows:
Certified Hypnotherapist
Must complete a minimum of two hundred (200) hours of instruction in hypnosis from a school approved by the
American Council of Hypnotist Examiners; Must pass an examination approved by a Qualifying Board of the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners.
Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist
Must fulfill all of the requirements for Certified Hypnotherapist plus complete an additional one hundred (100)
hours instruction, for a total of three hundred (300) hours instruction in hypnosis from a school approved by the appropriate state agency and by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners.
NOTE:
Examination waived for licensed professionals.
