The Hypnotherapy Institute Spokane is a vocational school licensed by the state of
Washington under Chapter 28C.10RCW. We offer a comprehensive training that leads to national professional hypnotherapist certifications. The training is designed to give you a personal growth
experience in body/mind/spirit wellness as it prepares you for a career in counseling and hypnotherapy.
Our philosophy holds that you are more than the content of your experiences, beliefs, thoughts, and emotions. We explore the authentic self, the content of
beliefs that govern your responses to life, and the emotional energy that is held in the body/mind.
The theory and clinical approaches of our instruction embody the works of Roberto Assagioli, Milton Erickson, Joan Borysenko, David Quigley, Stephen Wolinsky, John Bradshaw, Carolyn
Myss, Carl Jung, and a multitude of other teachers and practitioners who have worked in this and related fields.
Our basic training coursework teaches you the interactive techniques of therapeutic trance, how to use metaphor, and client-based
guidance for post-hypnotic suggestions. The classes include lecture, diad exercises, group and individual trance, demonstrations, and facilitated practice sessions. You will learn protocols much like
you would learn the notes in the musical scale. Once you know the notes, you are free to improvise in any direction that a session and client might take you. Rather than scripts, you will learn to
facilitate clients in finding the answers from within their own subconscious during their interactive hypnotherapeutic process. This approach builds confidence and rapport while empowering the client.
Electives and advanced classes are the combined works of many models that serve to heal the body/mind connection. There are many creative hypnosis tools and skills available that are presented by various clinicians from around the nation, which allow you to experience and explore other models and techniques to further the journey into healing.
